  1. Q: What type of Sport fishing is practiced in Cancun?

R: Trolling: The embarkation counts with 6 fishing lines, including the out riggers, which is throwing the line out in the water while the boat Is still in movement.
Deep Fishing:  The embarkation counts with 2 down Riggers,

  1. Q. What type of bait is used for both types of fishing?
    R: Trolling: Lures or Ballyhoo.
         Deep: Filet


  2. How long does it take to get to the fishing destination?
                   
    R: From our Marina it takes 45 minutes to get to the fishing destination.
  1. Q: At what depth would we be fishing?

R: Depending on the specie of fish you are trying to catch and whether you are trolling or deep sea fishing, for trolling its (100- 300 FT) and deep sea fishing is (200-400 FT)

  1. Q: What type of Rods do you use?

R: The majority of the time we use the brand Penn 6/0 and 9/0

  1. Q:  What type of line do you use?

R: We use a 50 lbs line for the Penn 6/0 and an 80 lbs line for the Penn 9/0

  1. Q: How many fishing seats does the boat have?

R: Each boat counts with 1-2 fishing seats depending on the boat. Each seat has a seatbelt, which is recommended when fishing, because of the unknown size of the specie that can be caught.

  1. Q: What type of equipment do you have aboard that enables you to facilitate to find fish?

R: Each boat counts with a G.P.S fish finder.               

  1. Q: Does the boat include Safety equipment?

R: Each boat counts with a First Aid kit and life savers for each passenger on board. Also each boat includes Rescue equipment, example: Radio VHS, flare, and Ring lifesavers.

  1. Q: What am I going to fish?

R: Show the fishing calendar and not create false expectations.

  1. Q: How can you prevent sea sickness?

R: Take half a pill of Dramamine before going to bed the night before and another half 45 minutes before going on the boat.

  1. Q: Are there fishing poles for left handed people?

R: Yes, make sure to ask for them at the time you make your reservation.   

  1. Q: Are there fishing poles for kids?

R: Yes, there are small spinning poles (for trolling or deep sea) Ask for them at the time you make your reservation.

  1. Q: What does the fishing tour include?

R: Captain, Mate, bottled water, sodas, beer, ice, bait, T.V, CD, DVD and a lot of fun!
   Note: You may buy additional beverages at the time you make your reservation.

  1. Q:  Is there a risk for pregnant women?

R: We suggest those women 4 months or more of pregnancy or if the climate is rough that they do not go aboard the boat.

  1. Q: What should I bring with me on board?

R: We recommend you bring a cap or hat, sun block, shoes with a solid bottom grip, Sunglasses, Camera, and incase you would like to bring your own fishing equipment, that is also allowed.

  1. Q:  What happens if there is bad weather the day of my reservation?

R: Coastguard is who gives the authorization early that morning or the night before.

  1. Q:  In case we go fishing on a shared boat, may I bring a minor with me?

R: Yes and Note that a minor that is 9 years or younger pays only half price.

  1. Q: Can I keep what I catch?
    R: Whatever the customer fishes, is his or her property, he or she decides what they want to do with the fish. With pleasure we can filet your fish however you would like it.

  2. Q: What happens if I catch a Marlin or a Sailfish?
    R: Due to the fact that Marlins and Sailfish are protected animals here in Cancun, the customer decides whether he or she throws it back or keeps it as a trophy through taxidermy.

  3. Q: Do you have a Taxidermy contract?

R: Affirmative, with gray taxidermy, with offices in Pompano Beach, FL.

  1. Q: Can I start fishing the moment I go on board?

R: No, you have to wait until we pass Isla Mujeres, being that we are in a National Park and it is a Protected Reserve.

  1. Q: How many passengers can go on board?

R: As for fishing or pleasure depends on what the brochure says.

  1. Q: Do you have Snorkel equipment on board?

R: Affirmative. Make sure to ask for it at the time of your reservation.

  1. Q: Does the 8 hour service include lunch?

R: No fishing tour includes lunch, although for an additional price of $10 USD you can get a box lunch which includes, sandwich, chips, granola bar, fruit, cookies, and juice.

  1. Q: At exactly what moment do you start to count the time of the tour?

R:  The time begins right when the boat leaves the marina. (Ex. Tour of 4 hours -Departure time: 7am Arrival time: 11am)

  1. Q: Does the crew speak English?

R: Affirmative.

  1. Q: Is it a guarantee that I will fish something?

R: According to the fishing calendar, it is guaranteed that the customer will fish something.
Note: It is not guaranteed what specie.

  1. Q: Can I have the same fishing rod during the whole fishing trip?

R: We recommend that the fishing rods remain in the holders, for the duration of the trip, the reason being incase a fish bites, the mate’s job is to guarantee to hook the fish on, pass it to the customer so they can reel it in and bring it aboard.
